A Much Delayed Post

The last stop of our trip was at the beautiful Stonewall Jackson Lake Resort in West Virginia.  Almost every campsite bordered the lake.

Artie enjoyed checking out the grounds.

Now we're home and involved in daily chores and holiday preparations .......lots of baking and knitting to be done!

Scenes from SAFF

Look at all this fibery goodness!

It didn't take long to reach overload.  The really cool thing is that all of this was just a few steps away from my front door so I could a do preliminary tour of the grounds and vendors and then head back to the bus for lunch.

Then back to the vendors for more serious shopping.

And pics of some of my new friends .......

A Day on the Road

We spent most of the day traveling today and arrived at the Southeastern Animal Fiber Fair in late afternoon, just in time to set up in the down pour.  But at least it was a warm down pour.  So after a warm meal and a hot shower, all is well.  I'm planning to be at the gate when the festival opens in the morning.  I'd like to take lots of pictures, but no promises.  I know there will be lots to distract me!!

Cherohala Scenic Drive

Here are a few scenes from Thursdays drive.  Our internet is unreliable so my posts are not up to date.

We're heading out on the road again shortly so I'll post again when I can get to the internet.

Tuesday in the Tennessee Sun

It was arts & crafts day at the campsite.  We decided to enjoy the afternoon sunshine.

Life on the road agrees with Artie.  He's pretty happy hanging out with us where ever we are.

Kentucky and New Friends

Kentucky Horse Park

Awesome!

The Adventure Begins

Happy to leave the snow behind, we're hitched and ready to roll.

Although we didn't get very far south on the first leg of the journey, it was enough to leave the snow behind.

The morning is looking much more promising as we get ready to head out on the second day.

Artie is ready for more adventures on the road.  Let's go!

A Day in the Life of a Tag Team Knitter

Will the mailman bring the box today?  I hope he's on time!

Everyone appreciates a helper while they're waiting.

It can be a long walk to the mailbox once you've been tagged.

Yippee!!

Thank you,  Sara.  I love all the goodies but the stitch marker is especially awesome!  This deserves a close-up.

Sara must have done her homework to choose such a perfect gift.
