Can you see him? That blob in the middle of the driveway is a beautiful ringneck pheasant. As we pulled in to the office on Sunday afternoon we were treated to this most unexpected surprise. I never thought of pheasants as city dwellers. This guy took a stroll down the driveway, around the back of the office and through the post office parking lot. As you can see, I wasn't prepared for this photo op. These picitures are the best I could do with my ipad.

Scenes from Rhinebeck
The festival is in sight and the parking lot is filling up fast.
Why does Steph look so worried? Does she think they might run out of yarn?
This festival was held at the perfect venue for enjoying a wonderful fall day. There was a full day of shopping and that was if you didn't take too long at any one vendor. It was quite the accomplishment to see everything in one day, but then we're not amateur festival goers.
I think Steph may have been overcome by yarn fumes!!

What a Zoo!
A few pictures from our visit to the Columbus Zoo.
By the end of the day, everybody was hot, tired and not very cooperative.

My Baby is Growing Up
Here is Leo just a few days shy of nine months. He's getting pretty big but still has that puppy look and attitude.

What happened to July?
Time sure flies. It looks like I've been neglecting my blog again so here are a few backyard shots from last month.

Knitting Content
Since this blog was originally started as a place to share my fiber interests, I thought I should include some knitting content from time to time. Just finished this cotton top last night. If you're interested in the knitty-gritty details, you can check out my Ravelry project page, Cabled Lace Pullover.
And a daily dose of Leo.
